With sweet and savory flavors, these mini tarts make a quick and easy appetizer that will wow your guests during the holidays.
Cranberry and Ham Puff Pastry Bites
Serves: 12 tartlets
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
4 oz brick-style cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup Newman’s Own® Honey Mustard Dressing
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh thyme
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed according to package directions
1/4 cup cranberry sauce
1/3 cup diced ham
2 tbsp finely chopped pecans
Directions
Preheat oven to 425°F.
In small bowl, stir together cream cheese, honey mustard dressing and thyme.
Arrange puff pastry sheet on work surface lightly dusted with flour. Cut out twelve 3-inch squares (reserve remaining pastry for another use).
Fit each square into mini muffin cup, crimping and folding the sides so it fits into the cup. Using fork, prick bottom of pastry square.
Spoon 1 tbsp mustard mixture evenly into each cup. Top each with 1 tsp cranberry sauce, and top evenly with diced ham.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until pastry is golden brown and filling is bubbling. Sprinkle with pecans. Let cool in pan for 5 minutes before serving.
Tips: Substitute pecans with walnuts or hazelnuts if desired.
Substitute ham with prosciutto if preferred.
