Creamy Caesar Salad
Serves: 4
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10-15 minutes
Ingredients
1 head of lettuce (romaine or any preferred variety), chopped
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup Newman’s Own Creamy Caesar Salad Dressing
4 slices of bread (preferably day-old bread)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Croutons: Cut the bread into bite-sized cubes and place them in a mixing bowl. Drizzle olive oil over the bread cubes, toss until evenly coated, and season with salt and pepper. Spread the seasoned bread cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Make sure to toss them occasionally for even browning. Once done, set aside to cool slightly.
Prepare the Salad: While the croutons are baking, chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.
Assemble the Salad: Add the cooled croutons to the bowl of chopped lettuce. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top, followed by Newman’s Own Creamy Caesar Salad Dressing.
Toss the Salad: Gently toss the salad until all ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.
Serve: Serve immediately as a side dish or light meal.
