Newman’s Own Sockarooni Sauce gives this noodle-topper the flavor you’ll be craving, a perfect recipe to top spaghetti or linguine for an easy Italian-inspired dinner.

  • 1 ¼ pounds of lean ground beef (80% or better)
  • 8 ounce package of button mushrooms (or baby Portobello’s), sliced
  • 1 ½ cups Newman’s Own® Sockarooni Pasta Sauce
  • ½ pound of linguine, cooked to package instructions



Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once meat has been browned, drain any drippings.


Add sliced mushrooms and allow to cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.


Add Newman’s Own® Sockarooni Pasta Sauce and bring to a boil. Then, lower heat to a simmer and cover for about 10 minutes.


Serve over cooked linguine.
