What types of brands should apply for Newman’s Deal?

We encourage brands to apply if they sell consumer products in the U.S., believe Paul Newman will be a great fit for their brand, and want to do more to help kids who face adversity.

Food and beverage brands cannot participate in this program but are welcome to contact Newman’s Own for other ways to partner to help kids who face adversity.

What is the application deadline for brands that want to participate in Newman’s Deal?

Applications must be submitted by no later than 11:59 PM PT on November 24, 2022. Brands will need to be financially viable and will need to provide support documentation that proves they can generate a profit to be donated.

How will Newman’s Own decide which brands can participate in Newman’s Deal?

Newman’s Own will review all application submissions and will invite brands to commit to the Newman’s Deal licensing agreement based on several criteria including, but not limited to, creativity, brand fit, and mission fit. Final decisions are at the discretion of Newman’s Own.

When will brands know if they’ve been selected to participate?

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. All brands will be notified with a decision by no later than January 31, 2023.

What do brands get if they’re selected to participate?

Brands that are selected to participate will be given exclusive access to a library of Paul Newman images that can be leveraged for commercial use to promote a product. In return, participating brands will give away all of the after-tax profit made from the sale of this product to qualifying non-profit organizations that help kids who face adversity.

What does my brand need to do in order to be considered for Newman’s Deal?

To be considered for Newman’s Deal, brands must complete the Newman’s Deal application here.

If selected, where could my brand sell its Newman’s Deal product?

Participating brands will need to sell Newman’s Deal collaboration products in the U.S.

If selected, how much time does my brand have to develop our Newman’s Deal product?

Participating brands must start selling their Newman’s Deal products by no later than December 31, 2023.

How many Newman’s Deal products can participating brands develop?

Participating brands need to produce at least one new item or identify one already existing item for the partnership.
